The Canadian Business Council - (CBC) was officially established in 2005. Therefore, it is served 6000 Canadians living and working in Kuwait for the past 10 years.

CBC is a non-profit and non-political organization. It runs by volunteers with no office staff.

There are approximately 100 members in the CBC. Most of these members are individuals and corporate.

Although most of the CBC members are Canadians, there are members from the US, UK, France, Australia, Germany, Spain and other countries. Also, we have several Kuwaiti businessmen and businesswomen who are members.

Business benefits are:

1. Business networking with the Canadian business community.

2. Business focused on monthly presentations .

Approximate number of events per year

Around nine Monthly General Meetings, (the “MGMs”) are held each year, as well as a , Christmas gathering.

Organizational structure:

The Executive Committee is made up of nine (9) members. including the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Ambassador and Senior Trade Commissioner from the Embassy of Canada. Three members at are at large.


CBC Kuwait is a regional member of the CBC MENA region “group” (???) based in Abu Dhabi. CBC Kuwait participates in discussions, knowledge sharing and strategic development between all MENA region CBC members.
